Anime fans are horrified by the upcoming ‘Mother’s Harem’ manga.

An upcoming isekai manga with a punishment storyline that revolves around the shocks of mothers and confuses anime fans with its offbeat subject matter.

An upcoming isekai manga puts a controversial spin on the genre’s standard premise.

Initially reported by Anime Senpai, the title of this upcoming manga roughly translates to Everything was taken away from the hero So I formed a party with the hero’s mother. Based on the isekai light novel series of the same name, this manga has an exiled group member who takes revenge on the leader and other members by forming his own group with all their mothers. A Twitter account called @AniNewsAndFacts spotlighted the series with an alternate translation of the title highlighting the fact that the main character purchases these women from a slave market. Many replies in the comment sections of the post have expressed disbelief, confusion, or outright disgust with the premise of the series.

The plot of the manga begins similar to many other isekai stories. The main character, who lives as a 42-year-old man in the real world, dies and is reincarnated as a child in a sword and sorcery-style fantasy realm. When he turns 14, Ceres joins a group of heroes led by a man named Zect. After Zect gets involved with Ceres’ girlfriend, he convinces the other party members to drive Ceres out on the grounds that his magic sword skill is useless to the party.

The main character is driven by revenge

Now alone with nowhere to go, Ceres develops a strong desire for revenge and hatches a plan made possible by the bizarre social mechanics of this world. Since the average life expectancy is 50, women over 17 are considered older and are often sidelined in favor of younger women. Apparently, this also happened with Zect’s mother. Ceres forms her own group with the mothers of each of her former group members, hoping that her new team will become an inexhaustible source of torment for the members of her old one, including Zect.

This manga is different from other Isekai

While isekai stories commonly feature harems of young women teaming up with the main hero, there are series that deviate from this setup. Two popular examples include That time I was reincarnated as a slime and Trapped in a dating simulator – the world of Otome Games is hard for mobs. The former began as a light novel series written by Fuse with illustrations by Mitz Vah. 8-bit later adapted the novels into an anime series. On November 25, 2022, a film adaptation titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond had his Japanese stage debut. Written by Yomu Mishima with illustrations by Monda, the Trapped in a dating simulator The light novel series has also been adapted into an anime series, which aired from April to June 2022.

The release window for Everything was taken away from the hero So I formed a party with the hero’s mother is unknown as of this writing.
