EE renews sponsorship with Excel Esports and unveils new ambitions in the game

Today EE announces that it has extended its core partnership with UK esports organization EXCEL ESPORTS until 2025 after three years of successful collaboration.

The three-year extended partnership will continue to see EE branding featured on all kits worn by EXCEL’s League of Legends EMEA, Championship (LEC), VALORANT and FIFA teams. EE will also continue to help EXCEL teams train at its headquarters by providing world-class connectivity, supported by the best UK network.

In its role as Principal Partner of EXCEL, EE is committed to making the gaming community as inclusive as possible, as well as supporting gamers with the products and services that matter most to them.

EE three key ambitions for its partnership with EXCEL:

  • Inclusiveness: Nurturing the next generation of women in the game to help reshape the industry for the better
  • Culture: Supporting players beyond the occasion of play by making mental health support available to the gaming community
  • Experience: Enhance the gaming experience with products and services designed to open the community to new audiences

These commitments will be key as EE and EXCEL work to roll out a number of exciting initiatives over the next few years to inspire gamers and enhance their experiences.

Since partnering in 2020, EE and EXCEL have collaborated on a number of campaigns and initiatives, including this year’s Connected Club Cup, which gave grassroots players across the UK the chance to demonstrate their own FIFA skills in a national competition. The finalists then joined the stars of EXCEL and the England football team at Wembley to battle it out for the Connected Club Cup trophy. In March, EE and EXCEL teamed up on Ultimate Gamer, a six-hour Twitch stream that featured four faces famous players, including comedian Munya Chawawa and professional Fortnite EXCEL player Jaden ‘Wolfiez’ Ashman, compete against each other in three separate matches.

The partnership renewal follows EE’s recently unveiled supercharged gaming offering. The new range includes Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation bundles, access to the latest best-in-class gaming products via interest-free spreadable payments with Add to Plan, and a nationwide rollout of in-store game bays in over 175 EE retail stores.
