George RR Martin let House of the Dragon Heads into Winds of Winter’s Secrets

George RR Martin said House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal some secrets about the winds of winterthe long-awaited sixth installment of his fantasy series.


Speaking at the Game of Thrones Official Fan Convention, Condal said he is excited to work with Martin because he is a huge fan of A song of ice and firethe series of books on which game of Thrones it’s based. He added that he is equally enthusiastic the winds of winter like everyone else, and revealed that the perpetrator actually let him have some secrets. “He told Me things they have, not a direct connection [to House of the Dragon], but when he’s explaining mythologies and stuff like that, he’ll just casually mention things,” Condal said. It’s so beautiful but it’s like, ‘Ah! I just want to read the book.’ So I’m looking forward to it as a fan, and I’m a fan of him too. I’m really rooting for him and I want him to get, as he puts it, the monkey off his back.”

Fan of both the books and ever-evolving HBO game of Thrones the universe was waiting for Martin’s release the winds of winter for over a decade, as the last book in the series, A dance with dragonsreleased in 2011. Since its release, game of Thrones ended its run on HBO, House of the Dragon has aired its first season, and the network has also begun planning several spin-off shows.


The winds of winter enter the final stretch

Martin recently revealed that the conclusion is 500 pages away the winds of winter. Martin has appeared on the comedy news Tooning Out the news, where he spoke with fellow author James Patterson, who has published 22 books under his name this year. Martin claimed to have written 1100 or 1200 pages of the winds of winter for the past eleven years, and said it is now in the final stretch. Patterson joked that Martin should have divided the novel into three parts, and that would cure his writer’s block.

While Martin continues to work the winds of winterCondal is busy planning House of the Dragon Season 2, based on Martin’s novel Fire and blood. The House of the Dragon the showrunner has promised great things for season 2, as he and his team have already done the hard work of building complex characters in order to earn the tragic events of the impending war. “We’ll get to the show… But you have to understand the intricacies of these people before they’re thrown into war,” he said. “The second series will hit the pace people expect from the medium term game of Thronesbut it will have been earned and viewers will feel the tragedies because we put the work into it.”

Beyond the second season, Martin has stated that he believes it House of the Dragon it needs at least four seasons to properly adapt its story. The author is much more involved House of the Dragon than it was in the last few seasons of game of Throneswhich had to get out of the book because the last two novels of the A song of ice and fire series have not been released. Talking about House of the Dragon future, Martin said, “As it stands, I’m thrilled that we still have 10 hours each season to tell our stories. It’s going to take four full seasons of 10 episodes each to do Dance with Dragons justice, from start to finish.”
