Three celebrities were left wriggling on Thursday I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Trial Bushtucker as they fought to provide food for their fellow campmates.
Scarlette Douglas, Owen Warner and Babatúndé Aléshé were the unfortunate souls chosen by the Tombol at the beginning of the episode, which meant it was up to them to face their fears and try to collect enough stars to feed the camp a proper meal.
The pressure had seriously increased, after two consecutive nights of less than impressive Bushtucker trial attempts.
(Including Chris Moyles who only got one star as he panicked in a locked underground space during his trial Wednesday, for which he called himself “pathetic.”)
Luckily for the celebs, Thursday’s trial went much better, with the trio managing to get every single star available, despite Baba’s intense fear causing him to scream the entire time.
Scarlette, Babatúndé and Owen came out on top after taking on the Jungle On Sea challenge, which saw them having to stick their heads into a box full of snakes, mice and frogs as they passed the stars.
Teamwork was really what made the dream work in this case, as Scarlette continually cheered on Babatúndé, who spent the entire process screaming with his mouth shut as the frogs leapt at him.
Literally: non-stop screaming. With the mouth closed. Impressive, indeed.
It nearly came to a messy end, as a bikini got caught in the sea-themed contraption, but Baba was able to rip it off and bag a total of eight stars between them.
The trial proved a source of hilarity on social media, with many pointing squarely at Baba’s horrified reaction to the frogs, while Scarlette and Owen took on rats and snakes.
Afterwards, the trio returned to camp making light of the dismal performances from the Bushtucker trial earlier in the week, telling fellow campmates “we’ve got a star each… for everyone!”
Earlier in the episode, Jill Scott, Mike Tindall and Owen went through a carnival-themed trial, The Scareground, which saw Owen strapped to a gurney on a spinning wheel, suspended over a pool of water.
It just wasn’t his day.
Meanwhile, Matt Hancock, Jill and Sue Cleaver got a taste of the good life as they swapped the I’m A Celebrity campground for an indulgent beach barbecue.
I’m A Celebrity returns on Fridays at 9pm on ITV
