PHOENIX, November 17th2022 /PRNewswire/ — Make-A-Wish has announced the winners of the coveted Chris Greicius Celebrity Award, presented annually to celebrities, entertainers, athletes, influencers and industry partners who have played a significant role in granting changing wishes life for seriously ill children. Each of this year’s winners has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to bringing hope to children and their families when it’s needed most.
Crosby Freemason: From 2012, Crosby Freemason, kicker for the Green Bay Packers, was a Make-A-Wish Wisconsin ambassador. In addition to spending time with the wish children whenever they visit the team, Crosby has served as chairman of the chapter’s gala committee, donated valuable memorabilia for live auctions, and helped raise more than $300,000 through a local promotion that gives $1,000 a Make-A-Wish for every field goal made during the season.
Images of primary importance: Paramount Pictures created an unforgettable wish experience for wish boy Luke, who had the chance to visit the studio lot for a yet-to-be-released Transformers project. The company has also been active with Make-A-Wish Mexico, granting a wish at the launch of the film Clifford the Big Red Dog. Wish kicked off a one-year partnership between Paramount and Make-A-Wish Mexico, which will result in four granted wishes by the end of this year. Beyond wish fulfillment, Paramount has allowed one of its executives to provide his experience and insight as a board member of Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles.
SB projects: Braun scooters and the SB Projects team work hard to instill the importance of wish fulfillment in their clients. Over the span of 13 years, more than 575 wishes were cumulatively granted by SB Projects artists, including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and many others. The team also found ways to engage its artists in Make-A-Wish campaigns via traditional media or social media, generating millions of potential impressions for the wish-granting organization.
Twenty one pilots: Since 2016, Twenty One Pilots has granted 20 wishes, a testament to the band’s incredible popularity. When in-person encounters weren’t possible in the midst of the pandemic, the band members immediately turned to meeting wish children virtually, going to great lengths to create memorable and unique online experiences.
Unspeakable: Relatively new to wish grant, Nathan Graham and his team at Unspeakable, a YouTube channel with nearly 15 million subscribers, instantly connected to Make-A-Wish after granting their first wish in early 2020. Since then, they’ve not only granted 13 wishes, but they’ve also taken their support a step further by making a monthly donation to Make-A-Wish.
The Walt Disney Company: The Walt Disney Company was the first recipient of the “Icon Award”, a new and elevated level of recognition under the umbrella of the Chris Greicius Celebrity Award. The first-of-its-kind award recognized the countless cast members who helped fulfill more than 145,000 wishes, including theme park and resort vacations, cruises, shopping sprees, studio visits, talent encounters, and sports-experiences a theme. The award was presented to Bob ChapekCEO of The Walt Disney Company, who donates his time and talents as a national board member for Make-A-Wish America.

Initiated more than 30 years ago, the Chris Greicius Celebrity Award is announced each year at the annual Make-A-Wish conference, where hundreds of staff, board members, corporate sponsors and donors come together for a week of education, networking and inspiration. The award is named after Chris Greiciusthe 7-year-old whose desire to become a police officer inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish in 1980.
