Mattel partners with leading themed entertainment design firms for the first Mattel Adventure Park

Fans of Hot Wheels, Thomas & Friends, Barbie and other iconic American toy brands will find plenty of excitement and hype when Mattel Adventure Park, the first Mattel-branded theme park, begins welcoming guests in Glendale, Arizona. The new entertainment destination brings together the talents of today’s top names in attractions, entertainment and design. Scheduled to open in 2023 just south of State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Mattel Adventure Park showcases the full spectrum of the iconic toymaker’s brand portfolio and showcases contributions from Mattel, Epic Resort Destinations ( Epic) and other key industry pioneers.

Epic knew there was an opportunity to partner and innovate with Mattel to develop world-class branded attractions, after seeing Mattel’s IP come to life in other location-based entertainment projects. To help bring the vision to life, Epic chose Super 78 to support the creative direction of the destination. Helping with everything from interactive design and media production to the park Thomas Adventure Train: Treasure Hunt™which allows families to talk to Thomas and his friends before embarking on a journey on a real electric Thomas the Tank Engine for Hot Wheels has unleashed the 4D ride multimedia attraction, which takes guests behind the wheel of a custom designed Hot Wheels car in a thrilling 4D motion experience.

Possibility of racing partnered with Epic to create toy-based high-tech roller coasters and rides, from two Hot Wheels roller coasters, Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer And Hot Wheels Boneshaker: The Ultimate Ride, to an all-electric Thomas & Friends train ride. Additionally, Epic has chosen to engage Zamperlaadding five family-friendly rides to Mattel Adventure Park’s Thomas & Friends World of Sodor™.
